Agent Review: Sweet and Short stay at this amazing property, located 30 minutes from PUJ - Punta Cana Airport
Great Service and Food, still need some work training employees' to speak English
This review is happen during Travel Advisors' Familiarization trip to Dominican Republic to attend the launching of DO Rewards 2023, 100% sponsored DR Tourism Board. After 30 min. ride, we arrived at the Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort on August 1, 2023 welcomed by an amazing Pina Colada in the Pineapple. Very refreshing in that hot day! Checked-in was easy and fast, I am blessed to have the amazing Luxury Swim Out room with King Bed+sofa bed double all for myself. Access to exclusive swimming pool at all time, terrace for two people to relax, Air Conditioning & fan, Mini Bar, TV, Radio Alarm, WiFi, Safe, Steam Iron, Bathroom with hairdryer, slippers and bath robes. The room is spacious and extremely clean and smells really nice. A welcome chocolate and cake was very soothing and complete my happiness.
The variety of restaurants that you can chose from is outstanding, you can try a new place every day for a week :), however at the buffet restaurant most staff doesn't speak English (you just have to be patient and maybe have a google translation in hand), no hostess to show you the table (you just walk-in and find your spot) and no one asking for allergy restrictions nor written anywhere on the buffet desplays. Service was excellent all the way. My stay for 1 night was too short to see and experience everything, however in this short time I was able to enjoy the beautiful white sands beach, with coconut water in my hands. There’s good entertainment at the pool, this is a great destination for a family as kids can have unlimited fun in the waterpark and activities for all ages. The beach was not swimmable at that time due to seaweeds, but Mother Nature decide in this one! in normal days, beach is absolutely stunning and swimmable.
Next morning travel advisors hop in to the bus on our way to the next destination, Sheraton Hotel - Santo Domingo for the DO Rewards Event. It is 3 hrs bus ride from Punta Cana.
My First Impression
Beautiful property, room is super clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. There's a lot to explore, beach is beautiful white sands and plenty of chairs available for everyone.
My Pros and Cons
Behind all good things this property has to offer, training staff to speak English will definitely help with clients' frustration of not being able to order coffee and actually get delivered. My personal experience. The issue was staff didn't understand the order and decided to ignore. Very frustrating.
If English was not as big issue, 5 stars all the way in all area.
The Final Score
Firstly, as a Travel Advisor who has been in this industry for over 8 years, travelling the world and staying at hundreds different All Inclusive properties, I can assure you that I am the perfect person to give a final evaluation. To sum up my thoughts on this property, I would say I'd say this resort definitely deserves a 5 stars rate! I would've loved to stay longer to enjoy this property and everything it has to offer.
